1. Classification by Working Method:
Batch Operation Grain Dryer:Grain drying starts from the lowest grain and gradually progresses upwards, forming a dried layer, a drying layer, and a undried layer. These three layers gradually move upwards as the drying process continues.
Continuous Operation Grain Dryer:** Grain flows continuously within the drying chamber, achieving continuous drying.
Circulating Operation Grain Dryer:** Raw grain can automatically circulate within the dryer, resulting in uniform drying and high quality. This includes closed-loop circulating grain dryers and diverting-loop circulating grain dryers.

2. Classification by Principle:
Ambient Temperature Ventilation Dryer:** Consists of a drying chamber and a fan. Depending on the ventilation method, there are vertical airflow and radial ventilation types. Simple structure, low operating cost, and no contamination to the grain, but the drying speed is greatly affected by air humidity.
Heated Airflow Dryer:Heat is transferred to the grain through convection. The surface moisture evaporates and is carried away by the airflow. Moisture inside the grain gradually diffuses to the surface and then evaporates again. Based on the airflow temperature, dryers can be classified into low-temperature slow-speed dryers and high-temperature fast-speed dryers; based on the airflow direction relative to the grain in the drying chamber, they can be classified into cross-flow, co-flow, counter-flow, and bidirectional airflow dryers; based on the state of the grain in the drying chamber, they can be classified into fixed bed, moving bed, fluidized bed, boiling bed, and sputtering bed.
