The mixed flow tower grain dryer is developed based on the different characteristics of various grain crops, combined with local conditions and absorbing advanced foreign models. This machine has strong adaptability to different grains and environments, and can be used for drying rice, soybeans, wheat, sorghum, rapeseed, corn, and oilseed crops. The rice dryer uses clean hot air as the heat medium, in other words, hot air drying. The heat source is a coal hot blast stove or an oil hot blast stove. This dryer can achieve continuous drying operation and outdoor installation, suitable for grain warehouses and grain and oil processing plants.
The mixed flow tower grain dryer uses clean hot air as the heat medium to dry grains. The dryer is composed of angular ventilation boxes arranged in a staggered manner inside. The angular box is filled with grains flowing downwards. Hot air enters the intake angle box through the particle layer and passes through the particle layer from top to bottom. The exhaust gas is discharged through the exhaust angle box. The simultaneous counter current flow of hot air, grains, and particles is also known as mixed flow. When hot air passes through the grain layer, it transfers heat and moisture.
Hot air transfers heat to grains, increasing their temperature. The water contained evaporates into the air and becomes exhaust gas. Dry grains flow downwards into the equilibrium section. After passing through the equilibrium stage, grains reach the equilibrium point of temperature and moisture inside and outside, achieving uniform moisture reduction. Then, the grains enter the cooling section and cool to the storage temperature. Finally, the dried material will be discharged through the outlet.
