1. Classification by heating method
Circulating dryer
Features: The raw grain is heated at low temperature. Generally, the hot air temperature is not higher than 60°C. The drying time is long. Generally, it takes 8 to 10 hours to circulate before entering the warehouse for drying. The installed capacity of a single machine is 10 to 60 tons.
Advantages: Low-temperature drying helps to maintain the quality and nutritional content of corn.
Continuous dryer
Features: The corn is heated at high temperature. Usually, the hot air temperature is not lower than 90°C, which can achieve rapid drying. It has an advantage in drying speed, and the continuous dryer has a large installed capacity. Generally, the installed capacity and drying capacity are 100 to 200 tons at a time.
Advantages: High drying efficiency, suitable for large-scale production.
2. Classification by the relative movement direction of grains and airflow
Downstream dryer
Features: It adopts the process of downstream drying and countercurrent cooling, with multiple drying sections, each drying section has a slow cooling section, the process flow is long, and the drying is sufficient.
Advantages: The hot air temperature is high, the drying effect is good, and the quality of the grain after drying can be guaranteed.
Cross-flow dryer
Features: Simple manufacturing process, easy installation, high production efficiency, low cost and high cost performance.
Advantages: Relatively simple structure and easy maintenance.
Mixed flow dryer
Features: The hot air is uniform, the moisture content of the grain after drying is also uniform, the power consumption is relatively low, the energy cost is saved, and a variety of varieties can be dried.
Advantages: Good drying effect, low energy consumption, and easy cleaning.
